Having Your Rings Soldered Together

Your wedding ring is one of your most cherished possessions; you want to make sure that like your marriage it stands the test of time. When both engagement and wedding rings are worn on the same finger everyday they rub together. This causes a lot of tension on both rings. It can wear down the metal and make the band thinner. As a result your ring faces the risk of breaking. Reshanking the band can be a costly procedure.

Soldering your engagement and wedding band together can be a precaution to insure that this does not happen. The rings are cleaned, polished and can be soldered relatively quickly. Some women opt to solder their rings before the wedding while others wait until after the honeymoon. As a personal preference some women like to keep them separate. For those women, we recommend alternating which ring you wear or wearing them on different fingers.
