Soldering your engagement and wedding band together can be a precaution to insure that this does not happen. The rings are cleaned, polished and can be soldered relatively quickly. Some women opt to solder their rings before the wedding while others wait until after the honeymoon. As a personal preference some women like to keep them separate.
